Keegan is now taking tramadol for arthritis pain.
The vet gave us a two week supply and said come back in two weeks and she’d refill it.
I gave Keegan a pill at lunch time as soon as we got back to the dorm; she perked up considerably.
She still walks with a slight limp but she seems in much better spirits.
Chronic pain is no fun. 😦

/ June 21, 2012I’m sorry to hear this. Didn’t you mention at one time letting Keegan retire and getting another service dog to help you? I totally agree about the chronic pain comment.

/ July 17, 2012Yes I did start the process a month or so before I left for the program, but the timing wasn’t right.
I’ve resubmitted the paperwork and been accepted so now I’m on the waiting list.
Meanwhile, Keegan and I are just being together. She cuddles more now than she’s done since she was a puppy.
