I got experiment 8 in the MAKE Electronics book to work.

I have the case off of the relay (as the book suggested) so I can see the contacts being cycled.
I used two different colours of LEDs so the cycling is more obvious.

I have to admit that it did take me a couple hours of studying to get it together and have a clue what was happening.
Now that it works I need to go back over it and review.

One really cool feature of the book is that you can go online to the publishers website and they have all the illustrations and photos in higher resolution (bigger, easier for older eyes to see). It took me a while to find them, they’re under the ‘errata’ link on the catalog page of the book.

A good evenings work. I’m pleased.
