Bad, BAD post office!

I checked my post box today and found a small box that had once contained a very nice chemistry related coffee mug, crushed and containing many many shards of what had once been a very nice chemistry related coffee mug.

The box wouldn’t fit into my box so instead of leaving me a little note in my box saying come to the front desk and pick up your package, they’d just crushed the box until it fit.

Well, it fit from their end, there was no way I was getting it out of the box from my end. I had to go to the front desk anyway, only instead of picking up my package I had to ask them to go get the jammed mangled crushed ripped box out somehow.

Since the package wasn’t insured there was no recourse for me. The manager lady, who surely knows me by sight now since I’ve dealt with her at least 3 times before this for lost and or mangled packages, said she’d write a note to the box stuffers and tell them to take more care.
No consolation for me.

IF you EVER send me packages, please get a tracking number; if it’s something that you (or I) would regret not getting, get insurance.

Unfortunately, you cannot get a tracking # when it comes directly from your Amazon Wish List probably due to the fact that your address is kept private which is probably why there is no recourse for the lost package from me. But who knows? Perhaps, it may yet show up…the bill just did. Plus, children are finding other children’s balls after the tsunami from a year ago so stranger things have happened, I guess.

Tracking # 9101999999491359884688 for a surprise headed your way. Should be there by the 28th, I think. Keep your eyes open. đŸ™‚
