I suppose that I should give a bit of background.

I have a degree in anthropology; currently I’m studying chemistry.
I read science mags which have articles about different sciences and current issues being explored by these sciences.

When you apply these two focuses of my life to the question of why human noses are so vulnerable to the elements, what you get is a post like the last one, “Why did our noses evolve….”

I wasn’t in the least pessimistic or feeling gruesome or depressed.
