Previously I’ve used my oil lantern and a candle holder.
My oil lantern works well but I do have to keep in mind the asphyxiation possibility. It isn’t likely it could fall over and start a fire but it is possible that the oil could leak if the cap wasn’t put on correctly after filling.
I’ve also used the candle lantern but it’s big and I keep knocking assorted body parts against the sharp tin corners.
Today I was in the grocery store and saw the votive candles now come in a clear glass tube and cost $1.25. I don’t know how fast they burn but I bought one to try.
It will fit in my candle lantern I think.
If it works well it will be a easily found, inexpensive way to heat my camper.
Unfortunately food stamps won’t pay for it.
