After I got done foraging thru my storage unit I decided to come back to the area where my school campus is. I got here around 4:30 or so, I put stuff away, cleaned up the cut on my leg (it looked scary but it wasn’t) and was sitting on the tailgate reading when I noticed that one of the guys from the group of homeless people across the way was heading over my way.
Turns out they’ve been watching me the past couple weeks (and I them) and they decided to invite me for dinner.
So Keegan and I headed over.
Keegan found one soul who was perfectly happy to throw a stick until she was tired.
And she got to eat some of the leftovers.
And run around and sniff to her hearts content.
I got some tips on some possible parking spots. Some cooked food, and some conversation.
These guys do read. They knew Heinlein, Asimov, Hubbard (though Hubbard didn’t get good comments due to his Scientology stuff), and Steven King, Robin Cook, and some others I can’t remember now. They aren’t illiterate.
There are women in the “group”, I’m not sure what to call it, but they weren’t there. I learned some names and where to see them so I could say hi.
The men were named David, Terry, Stuart, and I can’t remember the fourth guys name but his dog is named Missy.
It was fun.
