Solar panel/battery combo works!

Yesterday I finally got the solar panel mounted on top of the camper. I’d used about 20% of the charged battery power running the light, recharging my cell phone, and doing about a half-charge on my ipad.
It took me a bit of fussing about to figure out how to connect the panel to the battery. Instructions were lacking and there were many cables to sort out. In the end, there is one cable needed for the panel to battery hookup. For some reason the cable came pre-connected to the input port on the panel. I needed to unhook it from there, switch ends, and reconnect it to the output port. Then the input port to the battery. It was really cool to see the batter indicator scrolling. It recharged quite quickly.
I’d like a longer cable so I could leave the battery in place (and be able to let it charge while I’m driving) but I haven’t found out yet if the company makes a longer cable. That will be on my list of things to do at some point.
